The European Union Center congratulates MAEUS student Angelina Sandora, who successfully defended her master's thesis, “European Integration, Political Resentment and Migration into Italy,” on Wednesday, April 10. Angelina's thesis committee consisted of Jessica Greenberg (chair), Associate Professor of Anthropology, and Markian Dobczansky, Associate Director of the European Union Center.

After Angelina receives her master's degree in European Union Studies in May, she will immediately start a new job as Visiting Coordinator for Brasillinois for the University of Illinois system. The position will involve coordinating administration and programming for the Brasil-Illinois Initiative, including budgeting, representation, and event planning. It will additionally entail facilitating student and scholar mobility between Brazilian institutions and UI campuses, managing research administration, and overseeing communications and visibility efforts both internally and externally.

Congratulations, Angelina! We look forward to hearing about your post-graduation accomplishments.
