University of Illinois Students represent Finland at the Midwest Model EU; Student brings home Gold On April 10th, the University of Illinois Team set off to compete in the Midwest Model EU competition at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Ethan Stringer, Hannah Fosnaugh, Carlin Hass, and Isaid Soto represented Finland in the European Council, Environemental Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Environmental Affairs, and Justice and Home Affairs ministries. After a weekend-long simulation of debating policy, building coalitions, and convincing America’s Head of State not to abandon NATO, three team members walked away with their third year of success in the competition. The team's newest member, Isaid Soto, walked away with a first-place certificate for Best Delegate in Justice and Home Affairs. Go Finland! |
