Faculty members from WU partner universities who hold a PhD are invited to apply for a guest teaching position in the next academic year 2026/27 (March-May 2027) at WU. Teaching positions are available for courses in English designed for a diverse group of undergraduate students (exchange students from partner universities abroad and WU degree-seeking students). Candidates should demonstrate excellent English language skills and be prepared to take the diversity of the group of students into account for the didactic design of the course.
We invite lecturers to submit course proposals, especially in the following areas and related topics:
- International Relations and International Trade
- Geopolitics and Impact on International Business
- Global Supply Chains and Supply Chain Disruptions
- Migration
- Sustainability
- Economic Policy
- Socio Economics
- Financial Markets
- Digital Marketing
and related study fields.
We particularly encourage applications and course proposals which complement WU’s current offer for exchange students in these areas. Overview of WU’s current teaching portfolio.
Teaching units: The course needs to cover a total of 30 academic hours (1 academic hour = 45 minutes), i.e. 22.5 full contact hours. This number of hours includes the final exam, but it does not include any breaks. The course should be taught in block format over a period of 2 weeks; preferably, the course consists of 9 units plus the exam.
Erasmus+ scholarship: 3468 EUR for a two-week course. In addition to the Erasmus scholarship, the guest lecturer will receive a remuneration of 1200 EUR gross (subject to applicable taxes and social insurance contributions).
Please note that additional contributions towards travel or accommodation costs cannot be provided.
