Alicja Szczepkowska

The European Union Center congratulates Alicja Szczepkowska (M.A. in European Union Studies, expected 2022), who has recently been awarded a Chicago Society Foundation James and Lillian Kulze Scholarship for the 2021-22 academic year. This scholarship is awarded to U.S. residents of Polish descent who have demonstrated financial need and are pursuing academic studies in college, graduate, or professional school. Alicja Szczepkowska's research interests include Euroscepticism, national populism, Central/Eastern Europe, migration, and the refugee crisis. She will be completing her master's thesis next year and currently plans to focus on migration and integration policies in Central and Eastern European countries before and after the refugee crisis.
