Prof. Gasyna Speaks about Ashes and Diamonds at the Gene Siskel Film Center

On March 10, Prof. George Gasyna traveled to the Gene Siskel Film Center of the Art Institute of Chicago to give a presentation and lead a Q & A session about the 1958 classic film Ashes and Diamonds (Popiół i diament, Dir. Andrzej Wajda). The film screening was part of the Chicago European Union Film Festival: Focus on Poland, which was co-sponsored by the European Union Center. The festival runs through March 20, 2025 and features 20 Polish films, including a dozen premieres as well as a number of classics of Polish cinema.
