Dialogue on Europe

EURO 500

This graduate level seminar is devoted, during the spring 2023 semester, to explore the meaning of the economic actions of European Union institutions. Beyond the specific shape of these actions, the conceptual framework offered by public economics can help us to better understand their economic logic. By adopting this approach, the seminar aims to improve students’ skills to critically analyze the economic decisions and policies of the European Union. Students are encouraged to explore their research interests in relation to these issues.

EURO 500 meets Tuesdays from 1:00-2:50 pm (location TBD)

Instructor: Jose Luis Gomez Barroso (jg65@illinois.edu)
