What are your research or academic interests?

I am interested in fifteenth and sixteenth century German literature

In 1-2 sentences, tell us more about your thesis/dissertation research.

My dissertation uses travel as depicted in early German prose as a lens to study social change and identity formation during the Age of Exploration and the Protestant Reformation.

Have you received any awards or honors that you would like to highlight?

I am currently on a Fulbright researching at the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel, Germany.

Do you have a favorite graduate class you've taken at Illinois?

GER 571 (Medieval German Literature) with Professor Horsfall. There was an optional assignment to respond creatively to the course content, which was one of the best experiences I ever had in a class.

What are your hobbies outside of the program?

I like to write songs and play music with friends.
