2024 Brussels-Lux Study Tour dates: June 16-22, 2024
Each summer the University of Pittsburgh's European Studies Center plans a week-long study tour to Brussels, Belgium to give educators the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge and experiences to further their understanding of Europe and the European Union. In 2024, the University of Illinois European Union Center is able to sponsor three educators to attend the tour. We select participants through a competitive application process and cover economy-class transatlantic airfare (up to $2,000), six nights double (shared) occupancy in a four-star hotel located in the EU Quarter (including daily breakfast), and roundtrip train fare between Brussels and Luxembourg. Please note that participants will be responsible for a $275 non-refundable administrative fee due to the University of Pittsburgh. The selected participants will be expected to attend all activities organized as a part of the tour, as well as participate in three videoconferences (one before and two after the study tour).
Eligibility: To be considered, applicants must be a K-12 educator or faculty at a community college or minority-serving institution in the United States.
